Hi, I’m Kathleen, a Registered Nutritional Therapist, Nutrition Coach and Reiki Practitioner (BA (Hons), DipION, Cert NLP, BANT, CNHC)

Food is one of the greatest pleasures in life and it is also a great healer. My mission is to take the stress out of eating better to improve how you feel, both emotionally and physically. 

I understand how difficult it is to find the time and the energy to maintain healthy eating habits with the demands of modern life, combined with the plethora of tempting yet unhealthy food that is available to us at every corner. Moreover the bombardment of conflicting nutrition advice on a multitude of unrealistic diets for weight loss are just too difficult to maintain long term.  

It's no wonder it's becoming more complicated to know what to eat.  And it really doesn't have to be a struggle!

I’ve developed an effective approach to help you cut through the maze of food myths and, by working with me, we will develop your own individual nutrition plan that will put you on the right path to achieve the outcome you want. My specialist areas are strategies to stop emotional eating and achieve weight loss and maintenance, however I am also experienced in digestive wellness, hormone balance and stress management. 

A Bit About Me.

I have a life long fascination with how food affects us, both mentally and physically.  My first career was in the Catering Industry - my love of food and cooking wasn't really fulfilled as I was working long hours and neglecting my own health.  I knew that the food I was eating wasn't the healthiest, a combination of caffeine, sugar and the wrong fat! Skipping meals and pressure of work was contributing to low moods and energy dips.  I decided I wanted to learn more about how food was affecting me, and why I was running on empty which led me to study the science of nutrition after the arrival of my first child. I wanted to know how to feed her well, as well as to feel better myself!   I was so excited to start my studies at The Institute for Optimum Nutrition and after 3 years, I subsequently started practising as a Registered Nutritional Therapist in 2000. In 2005 we moved the family to Dubai, where I worked at a wonderful Clinic, Synergy Integrated Medical Centre.  It's during this period that I discovered the importance of mental and emotional wellbeing, gaining an understanding of the barriers to making nutrition and lifestyle changes. I trained in reiki therapy, became an NLP Coach and ran the zest4life nutrition and coaching programme for 5 years. I returned to the Twickenham in 2012 in time for the Olympics and started sewing the seeds for my Joyful Eating programme which combines nutrition and emotional coaching support for emotional eating behaviours to help stop yo-yo dieting and bring joy back to eating healthily.

I also practice Reiki which is a very effective therapy to support clients emotionally on this journey of self discovery and to help them with confidence, allowing them to let go of old unwanted behaviours.  I also use BACH Flower Remedies which are a wonderful tool to aid emotional balance. I have clinics in Twickenham and Teddington, providing telephone or online consultations and coaching programmes.

I trained in DNA GI-MAP test for gut health and DNAfit to help develop personalised exercise and nutrition plans
